Teaching Seniors to be College Freshman

When I was flipping through the NY Teacher newspaper today, I was surprised to see my next column about making high school seniors ready for the rigor of college and the world that lies ahead.  This was on the heels of being paid an amazing compliment by a respected colleague today about how my class has received a universal thumbs up from recent grads despite their often dislike during their time in my classroom.

I wonder how other teachers of seniors cope with this challenge of engaging students while still driving them to exceed their own expectations.  Share your thoughts.
